DAY I, Monday, Oct. 19

  • Leave your home country and arrive in Hong Kong on October19.  Don't forget to take into account the International Dateline. Take a taxi or Uber to our hotel, and we meet as a group for the first time at 5:30pm. in the lobby.  Indiana will discuss the upcoming tour, and then we enjoy our welcome dinner. Overnight Hong Kong.

DAY 2, Tuesday, Oct. 20

  • Following breakfast, we visit Guarry Bay to take pictures of the astonishing Yick Fat Building. Its maze of corridors and endless rows of windows and balconies offer remarkable compositional possibilities.  We then stop by the JC Contemporary Museum to photograph its striking spiral staircase.  All the streets adjacent to the museum also offer wonderful photographic opportunities of dramatic architecture.  After lunch, we take a taxi to the top of Victoria Peak and walk along one of the most beautiful scenic paths in the world.  Fabulous views of Hong Kong can be photographed at every turn.  Following an early dinner, we position ourselves for the spectacular elevated twilight view of Hong Kong.  Overnight Hong Kong.

DAY 3, Wednesday, Oct. 21

  • After breakfast, we take a dramatic cable car ride to the nearby island of Lantau to see the huge Tian Buddha.  We then visit the Po Lin Monastery, founded in 1906, and an example of exquisitely detailed Chinese artistry. We have lunch on Lantau island.  In the afternoon, we return to Hong Kong and explore the famous Women’s Night Market. Overnight Hong Kong.

DAY 4, Thursday, Oct. 22

  • This morning we visit the remarkable Sky 100 Observation Deck for unparalleled elevated views of Hong Kong Island.  We then visit the KI1 Musea Mall where the architectural design is incredibly beautiful. This  is an upscale shopping destination, it's the photography opportunities that will truly captivate you. There are numerous exquisite restaurants here where we’ll have lunch. You will definitely want a wide angle lens here. We then take a walk along the Avenue of the Stars with the Hong Kong skyline as a backdrop, and after dinner we’ll enjoy the illumination of the sky followed by the blue hour.  Overnight Hong Kong.

    DAY 5, Friday, Oct. 23


    • After breakfast we transfer to the airport and take a flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  We have an early dinner and then photograph twilight at the stunning Saloma Bridge with the impressive Petronas Towers in the background.  It’s an unbelievable urban image.  Overnight Kuala Lumpur.

    DAY  6, Saturday, Oct. 24


    • Early in the morning we visit the Batu Cave.  This is an astonishing complex of ancient limestone caves.  At the foot of the stairs stands an outstanding 140-foot golden sculpture of the Hindu god, Lord Murugan. Inside the multi-colored illuminated caves are myriad statues of Hindu dieties.  It’s a sight to behold! After lunch, we visit one of the most beautiful Chinese temples in Asia.  The Thean Hou Temple is a six-tiered structure with intricate detail and unmatched artistry. You will find award-winning compositions everywhere. For our twilight photography, we explore the remarkable illuminated River of Life that meanders through the downtown area.  Overnight Kuala Lumpur.

    DAY 7, Sunday, Oct. 25


    • Chinatown is a vibrant area in Kuala Lumpur where you can experience Chinese-Malaysian culture.  The colorful shops, temples, and markets selling everything under the sun is a fun experience. This is our first stop this morning.  We then visit the Sky Tower for unbelievable aerial views of the Petronas Towers and the city far below.  After lunch, we photograph the Pink Mosque, a masterpiece of symmetry, elegance, color, and design. Outside views are magnificent, and the interior is also amazing.  After dinner, our twilight photography this evening will be in Independence Square in which the old colonial building are simply dazzling in the way they are illuminated.  Overnight Kuala Lumpur.

      DAY 8, Monday, Oct. 26

      • Today we fly from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore. Upon arrival, Indiana will take you to the incredible waterfall inside the airport. It miraculously emanates from the high glass ceiling, and the surrounding environment looks like a tropical rainforest – all inside the terminal! We then transfer to our hotel.  Overnight Singapore.

      DAY 9, Tuesday, Oct. 27

      • We get up early this morning to visit the famous Merlion statue to photograph beautiful golden sunlight on it.  We return to the hotel for breakfast, and then we take a taxi to Little India and Kampung Glam.  Both areas are, essentially, ‘wild and crazy’ when it comes to architecture, color, and creativity.  There’s a lot to photograph.  We have lunch, and in the afternoon and evening photograph the remarkable Marina Bay Sands Hotel from various vantage points.  Overnight Singapore.

      DAY 10, Wednesday, Oct. 28

      • The Garden by the Bay is Singapore’s showcase for tropical plants and flowers.  It is housed under a double domed structure that is an architectural miracle, and scores of gorgeous orchids, bromeliads, and many other flowers beg to be photographed.  The many acres surrounding the main botanical garden are filled with what looks like alien seed pods covered in fantasy vegetation.  During the day, this is breathtaking.  At twilight, with artful illumination, it is otherworldly.  You’ve never seen anything like it!  Overnight Singapore.

      DAY 11, Thursday, Oct. 29

      • After breakfast we visit neighborhoods known for their iconic colorful houses and window designs, particularly the Katong Joo Chiat shophouses along Koon Seng Road.  These stylized pastel-hued homes date back to the 1920’s and offer great photo opportunities.  We stop at the famous Kim Choo Kueh Chang for gourmet snacks before having lunch in Chinatown. In the afternoon, we go to the Park Hotel for dramatic interior shots of a stunning hotel.  Our farewell dinner this even affords us dramatic city views from the 70thfloor!

      DAY 12, Friday, Oct. 30

      • After breakfast, we transfer to the airport for our flight home, knowing we’ve photographed some of the most amazing sights in Asia.
