This 12-day photography journey through North India and Rajasthan is designed for photographers seeking an immersive blend of culture, portraiture, architecture and storytelling. Beginning in Delhi, the tour explores the vibrant markets, heritage havelis, classical performances and community life of Old Delhi before moving to Agra for iconic sunrise and sunset photography of the Taj Mahal. In Rajasthan, you will capture the colorful traditions of Jaipur, the blue-washed streets and Bishnoi villages of Jodhpur, the timeless rural life of Chandelao and the golden sandstone beauty of Jaisalmer. Portrait sessions with local women, artisans, villagers and desert models provide unique opportunities for cultural storytelling, while bustling markets, historic forts, stepwells, lakes and desert landscapes offer endless creative inspiration. Combining authentic human encounters, rich heritage and exceptional photographic locations, this expedition presents a comprehensive visual exploration of India’s most captivating cultural regions.

Delhi Arrival
Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport, you will be warmly received and transferred to The Imperial, New Delhi, a timeless icon that beautifully captures the elegance of India’s colonial heritage. Check in and take some time to relax in the comfort of your luxurious room after your journey. The hotel’s grand architecture, lush gardens, and vintage art collections create the perfect introduction to India’s cultural richness and old-world charm.

Delhi
In the morning, we will explore the vibrant lanes of Kinari Bazaar in Old Delhi, one of the most colorful markets in the city. Known for its wedding lehengas, embroidered sarees, sequins, laces, and bridal accessories, the narrow streets are filled with rich reds, bright pinks, royal blues, and gold textures that beautifully reflect India’s wedding traditions and craftsmanship.
For photography, the bazaar offers wonderful opportunities to capture color, texture, and authentic daily life. Portraits of women artisans at work, shopkeepers arranging fabrics, and candid moments of customers shopping create strong storytelling images. The soft light in the narrow lanes adds depth and mood, making this walk a vibrant cultural and visual experience.
Later, we will take you to the Kathika Cultural Centre & Museum in Old Delhi, nestled within a maze of narrow, historic lanes alive with color, texture, and the rhythm of daily life. Housed in two beautifully restored 19th-century havelis, this hidden cultural gem offers a rich and immersive setting for photography exploring museum spaces, architectural details and intimate courtyards that reflect the heritage and elegance of Old Delhi. The experience includes guided walkthroughs and interactive elements that provide deeper insight into India’s artistic and cultural traditions.
The highlight of our visit is a live presentation of Indian classical arts, featuring a captivating sitar and tabla jugalbandi, where melody and rhythm come together in a powerful musical dialogue. This is followed by a graceful Kathak dance performance, where expressive storytelling unfolds through intricate footwork, hand gestures, and facial expressions. Set within the atmospheric surroundings of the heritage haveli, these performances offer exceptional opportunities to capture movement, emotion, and culture in a refined and authentic environment—making it a meaningful addition to our photography journey.
Later, we will visit the community kitchen (Langar) at a Sikh temple offering an opportunity for documentary and storytelling photography. Participants can focus on capturing hands at work, rhythmic movements, expressions of service, and moments of quiet devotion, while observing how light, gesture, and human connection come together in this deeply moving space rooted in equality and shared humanity. Delhi – Agra (Drive 230 Kms – 4 Hrs) | Pre-Arranged Women’s Portrait Shoot
After breakfast, depart by road for Agra, enjoying the changing landscapes of northern India along the way. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and take some time to relax after the journey. The afternoon is kept light, allowing photographers to prepare equipment, review compositions, and discuss the evening shoot plan while soaking in the historic atmosphere of the city.
In the late afternoon, proceed to Mehtab Bagh for an atmospheric photo session of the Taj Mahal across the Yamuna River. This vantage point offers a serene and less-crowded setting, ideal for capturing reflections, soft evening light, and balanced compositions. A local model will be arranged to add scale and storytelling elements to your frames, blending human presence with the monument and riverscape. After the shoot, return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Agra.

Agra -Jaipur (Drive 240 Kms – 5 Hours)
Early in the morning, depart for a sunrise photo shoot at the Taj Mahal, when the soft golden light and cooler temperatures create ideal conditions for photography. This time of day allows for capturing delicate color transitions on the marble, long shadows, and fewer crowds, offering uninterrupted views and clean compositions. The session focuses on architectural details, wide perspectives, and atmospheric moments as the monument slowly emerges in the morning light.
After the shoot, we return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, check out and begin the scenic drive toward Jaipur, passing through the heart of Rajasthan. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in at the hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening to unwind or review the day’s images. Jaipur - Women & Craft Traditions
Begin the day early with a visit to Jaipur’s vibrant vegetable and flower markets, where traders, porters, and buyers create a dynamic canvas of color, texture, and human interaction—ideal for candid and documentary-style photography.
As the morning unfolds, move towards the Hawa Mahal area to photograph the rhythm of daily life against iconic pink-hued architecture. Wander through nearby artisans’ lanes and traditional bazaars, capturing craftsmen at work, intricate details and layered street scenes that reflect Jaipur’s rich cultural identity.
Later photography at Panna Meena ka Kund, an exquisite stepwell known for its striking symmetry, repeating stair patterns, and geometric balance. Early light enhances textures and shadows, allowing time to focus on architectural compositions, leading lines, and abstract perspectives. This session is ideal for fine-art and architectural photography, with opportunities to experiment with scale, minimalism and human elements within the structure.
After the photo shoot of Panna Meena, we will visit Amber Fort, one of Rajasthan’s most magnificent forts.
Thereafter head back into the old city as Jaipur transforms under warm lights and growing crowds. The colorful markets and heritage streets come alive with shoppers, street vendors, and illuminated facades, offering excellent opportunities for low-light photography, motion, and storytelling. Jaipur – Jodhpur (Drive 300 Kms – 5/6 Hours)
After breakfast, we drive to Jodhpur, arriving in the heart of the Blue City by late afternoon.
In the evening, head out for street and market photography around the iconic Clock Tower area, where spice sellers, shopkeepers, and local crowds animate the narrow streets. Focus on vibrant colors, layered compositions, and the interplay of artificial lights and fading daylight, capturing the pulse of Jodhpur’s old city at dusk. Jodhpur
Start the day with sunrise photography overlooking Jodhpur’s iconic Blue City, where soft morning light gently reveals layers of indigo homes against the imposing Mehrangarh Fort. From above, focus on patterns, color harmony, and changing light, before descending into the narrow lanes to photograph stairways, doorways, and quiet morning routines. This session emphasizes intimate street portraits, architectural details and everyday life unfolding in the early hours, offering a strong sense of place and mood.
In the afternoon, travel to a nearby Bishnoi village for a pre-arranged portrait and cultural photography session. Known for their deep respect for nature and traditional way of life, the Bishnoi community offers meaningful opportunities for environmental portraits, cultural documentation, and storytelling. Photograph villagers in traditional attire, daily activities and natural settings, focusing on authenticity and respectful interaction. Return to Jodhpur by evening. Jodhpur
The day unfolds in the quiet grace of Chandelao Village, where rural Rajasthan reveals itself in its purest form. As morning light washes over earthen homes and dusty pathways, daily life becomes a living canvas—women drawing water from age-old wells, artisans shaping their crafts by hand, and livestock drifting slowly through village lanes. This unhurried atmosphere allows for deeply intimate photography, capturing soulful portraits, rich textures, and the understated beauty of traditions that have remained unchanged for centuries.
By afternoon, the journey returns to the heart of Jodhpur’s Blue City, a maze of indigo-washed lanes glowing in soft, reflected light. Here, a portrait session with local models unfolds against weathered blue walls, sunlit stairways, and hidden courtyards that feel almost cinematic. The interplay of color, character, and architecture creates powerful visual narratives, blending portraiture and place into timeless images—an evocative and fitting finale to our Jodhpur experience. Jodhpur – Jaisalmer (Drive 280 Kms – 5 Hours)
After breakfast, depart Jodhpur for a scenic drive across the changing landscapes of western Rajasthan, gradually transitioning from rocky terrain to vast desert plains as you approach Jaisalmer, the legendary Golden City. Along the way, observe the subtle shifts in light, color and life that define this region. Upon arrival and a short rest, prepare for an evening photography session within one of India’s most remarkable living forts.
As the sun begins to soften, enter Jaisalmer Fort, where centuries-old sandstone architecture glows in warm golden hues. Wander through its narrow lanes, capturing layered street scenes, ornate doorways, carved balconies, and everyday life unfolding within the fort’s walls. The play of fading daylight, artificial lamps, and textured yellow stone creates a magical atmosphere, ideal for street, architectural, and cultural photography. Overnight in Jaisalmer.

Jaisalmer
We start the day with a calm sunrise shoot at Gadissar Lake, a beautiful body of water set in the middle of the desert. The soft morning light, gentle reflections, and small pavilions around the lake create peaceful and well-balanced compositions. After the shoot, we return to the hotel for breakfast.
Later, we walk through the busy Fort Market, capturing candid street scenes and everyday life. We then explore the narrow lanes of Jaisalmer Fort (Sonar Quila), where golden sandstone buildings, havelis, and temples glow warmly as the light changes. The fort is still alive with local residents, offering natural moments that combine history, architecture, and people.
After Lunch we move into the desert for a private golden-hour photoshoot with female models and camels. The warm evening light, open dunes, and flowing silhouettes create timeless desert images, bringing together culture, landscape, and mood in a simple yet powerful photographic experience.

Jaisalmer – Delhi (Flight)
This moaning we transfer to the local airport for our flight for Delhi. We are met upon arrival at the Delhi airport and transferred to our hotel near the airport.

Delhi departure
This morning we are transferred to the international airport for our return flight home, knowing we've captured amazing images and had extradorinaiy experiences in India.
